【みつわりごさんのきり】桐紋／この呼称は「紋之泉」「紋章大集成」によった。なお、「紋典」「平安紋鑑」「紋の志をり」「標準紋章集成」では”三つ割り桐”、「江戸紋章集」では”五三の三つ割り桐”としている。／女紋のデザインにかなり顕著にあらわれる手法がある。均等三分割はそのひとつである。（近藤雅樹著「おんな紋」Ｐ８７）同書によれば、三つ割り五三桐は女紋のモチーフとして頻発する一つである。（Ｐ１９４）
