【さがりぶどう】葡萄紋。 葡萄文様は、奈良朝に大陸から伝来した工芸美術の文様として移入され、その西方的なパターンは、いたく中世人士に愛好され、ある時期、この文様は流行現象を呈した。しかし、この紋は文様から転化の過程を経ずに、蔦紋から分化したと推察されるフォルムを示している（伊藤幸作編「日本の紋章」）
