丸に榺 COASTER

【まるにちきり】 榺は機織の道具で経巻具（たてまきぐ）ともいう棒である。榺紋は巻き付けた糸で経巻具が繋がっている状態を描いている。また、木材の部材と部材を繋ぎ合わせる切り込みの形状も表す言葉であり、こうした堅く結びつく状態をイメージした瑞祥的な意義で文様となったと考えられる。文様としては藤原時代から用いられ『年中行事絵』や『春日権現験記絵』などにも見え、文様から家紋になったものであろう（高澤等著「家紋の事典」） なお、「平安紋鑑」は榺を千切と表記している。

My coasters arrived and one was chipped. I got in touch with Zazzle and had no trouble getting a replacement. I was refreshed with how easy and it was and how customer-focused their service was. The colours are good. Just note these coasters are clay not furry.
