    【まるにまめぞうぎり】豆造紋／桐見立ての一種／豊臣秀吉が天皇家から桐の紋を下賜され、その時代の大名が秀吉から桐をもうらい受け、その家来が大名から桐を宥されるといふうに、桐は使用家が増え、江戸時代には役者や音曲師たちも桐を使うようになりました。当然、桐に見立てた紋も多くあります。（泡坂妻夫著「家紋の話し」より）
