北斎 Goten-Yama Hill Hokusai Cherry Blossom Fine Art Tie
Ukiyo-e traditional Japanese art
東海道品川御殿山の不二 (Tōkaidō Shinagawa Goten'yama no Fuji), woodblock print by Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾北斎) from the series Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, created in the late 1820's, and first published 1832. Print shows people having a picnic as others stroll along paths through grove of cherry trees at blossom time at the Shinagawa station on the Tōkaidō Road, with view of Mount Fuji in the distance. Katsushika Hokusai (葛飾 北斎, October or November 1760 – May 10, 1849) was a Japanese artist, ukiyo-e painter and printmaker of the Edo period. In his time, he was Japan's leading expert on Chinese painting. Born in Edo (now Tokyo), Hokusai is best-known as author of the woodblock print series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji (富嶽三十六景, Fugaku Sanjūroku-kei, c. 1831) which includes the internationally recognised print, The Great Wave off Kanagawa, created during the 1820s.
Pink cherry blossom Asian floral nature landscape fine art.
