【よつはなびし】花菱紋
高麗屋、松本幸四郎の屋号。本来は市川團十郎の弟子筋にあたる家だが、團十郎に跡継ぎがいない場合、高麗屋から養子に入って市川宗家を継ぐことが多い。一門には市川染五郎、市川金太郎など(宝島社「家紋と名字」)/「平安紋鑑」では通常の「四つ花菱」と比べて隣り合う花菱の間隔が広くなっているが、「紋之泉」「江戸紋章集」等では同じ間隔となっている。本図案は「平安紋鑑」を参考に作図している。

The clock did not take as long to arrive as I thought it might and was extremely well packaged. I didn't do the measurements so I didn't realize it is a little smaller than the average clock but that does not matter (just make sure you check if that's important to you).It is really nifty! It seems very solid and well made not flimsy at all. It has been going well and has kept good time in its few weeks on my wall. Nice product. Gets noticed too! Nicer in real life than the picture but true to the picture
