Hayami Gyoshū (1894 - 1935) was the pseudonym of aJapanese painter in the Nihonga style, active during the Taishō and Shōwa eras. His most famous work, “Dance of Flames” dates from 1925. It was the first art work of the Shōwa period to be accorded the status of Important Cultural Property (ICP) by the Japanese government's Agency for Cultural Affairs.
