【すがけうめばち】梅紋。
氏神の第二位の多数を占むる天満宮は文神也・・文神として天満宮俗称天神さんを祭れり・・神紋は・・梅鉢(菅家梅鉢)也・・
梅鉢紋は菅原道真の貶流に際し、京都を去るに臨みて詠せられたる「東風ふかば にほひおこせよ 梅の花 あるじなしとて 春なわすれそ」の歌意より出でしものなるべし。今官幣中社は皇族の祭神を本旨とせらるるに、全国二十三社の官幣中社中に、独り臣家にて中社の優遇を賜る祭神は道真公あるのみ。然も北野と太宰府の二官幣中社に列せらる。其分霊の天満天神社は全国津々浦々まで奉祀せられ、此偉大なる信仰の梅鉢紋は広く全国に分布せらる。・・菅家梅鉢は菅原姓の定紋にして、同系の・・高辻、唐橋、東坊城、清岡、桑原の五子爵(福井万次郎著「定紋の研究」)/図案、呼称は「定紋の研究」によった。
