轡紋は、轡を象った紋である。轡は口輪の転化したもので、馬の口の中にふくませる道具であるから、昔はこれをクツバミともいった。・・環の中に十字形のあるのが普通で・・十文字轡といい（中略）。轡紋に二種類ある。その一つは掛轡で、その二は十文字形の轡である。この十字轡の中には、もともとは、轡を象ったものではなく、十字架を象ったものも少なくはなかったのであるが、徳川時代、キリスト教が厳禁された結果、その疑いからのがれるために、多くは轡に改めたものらしい。（沼田頼輔著「日本紋章学」）

My coasters arrived and one was chipped. I got in touch with Zazzle and had no trouble getting a replacement. I was refreshed with how easy and it was and how customer-focused their service was. The colours are good. Just note these coasters are clay not furry.
