It can be difficult to fathom how pocket change can transform into one of the most valuable coins to look out for, but after surviving for nearly 6 centuries, this one makes sense. Also known as the Double Leopard, the 1343 Edward III Florin is part of a small group of coins worth millions.
Two 1343 examples were found in 1857, and a third was uncovered by a metal-detector user in England, which sold at auction in 2006 for £460,000 and is estimated to be worth $6,816,000 today.
