1893 Sherwin Cotton Art Nouveau Repro Faux Relief Tile
Reproduced from an antique tile, the soft colors on this Sherwin & Cotton tile provide a subtle emphasis for its ornately curved leaves on this late Victorian period tile. Available in 4.5" and 6" tiles as well as other items.
Sherwin & Cotton tiles were manufactured in Staffordshire, England from 1877 to 1911. They had a well-deserved reputation as one of the finest producers of decorative tiles in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Note that, although the tile looks as dimensional as the antique original is, our repro is made in a faux relief or "trompe l'oeil" (fool the eye) style and is actually flat and smooth.
