1914 Map, LA to Orange Poster

This is an enlarged print of a map from an early auto guide book published in 1914. This map is of the old road from LA to Anaheim and Orange. It includes Whittier, La Habra and Fullerton. There are also fun little photos of landmarks on the way including the Greenleaf Hotel in Whittier and the "Weisler auto supply store". Notes to the traveller include, "turn at orchard", and "turn at house and palm tree." There is also a version of this map with a green border. The “Hamilton’s Illustrated Auto Roadmap” book had 200 strip maps of California and included small photos of landmarks along the way. Published before the days of AAA books and guides.
