1914 Map of Tahoe Area Poster

This is an enlarged print of a map from an early auto guide book published in 1914. The “Hamilton’s Illustrated Auto Roadmap” book had 200 strip maps of California and included small photos of landmarks along the way. This map is of the South Lake Tahoe region. It includes a fun photo of the old Al Tahoe Hotel. The hotel was build shortly before 1914 on the site of the older Lake House hotel and closed in 1968. It shows the old roads of south lake, Tallac, Fallen Leaf Lake and the location of the Bijou. Use this map for your Tahoe Cabin decor! Published before the days of AAA books and guides.
