WHile still in high school Mary would sketch scenes around town. This farm house and car would have been within a horses distance or a walking distance from her home on Wall Street, in Madison. The simple line drawing is actually very small - the original is less than two inches across and drawn with the finest line imaginable. This gives us a good idea of what a day could be like, back in simpler times.
