From the estate of an artist who collected tons of old prints and advertisements comes this VERY cool and colourful ad for cigarettes. I think Chief Whip may have been a Dutch brand - and might have been sold in other countries as well, but what’s on the ad is in Dutch, and translates as ‘Gold Cork, unfiltered.” A great image that looks equally great on all kinds of EVERYTHING. Note that the image appears on both sides of the mug. Note also that my shop has MANY more items featuring vintage tobacciana prints. Wanna see more old?
