1945 Polish Navy Ship Dragon Tie
1945 Polish postage stamp depicting the Polish Navy Cruiser ORP Dragon. The ship was first HMS Dragon of the British Navy and in 1943 was transfered to the Polish Navy. As such the ship took part in convoy duty and saw action during the D-Day landings in Normandy. She was damaged during the operation by a German manned torpedo and was scuttled.
