1950's Woolworth's Longest Lunch Counter Clock

In February of 1878 in Utica, NY, F. W. Woolworth started his "Woolworth's Great Five Cent Store", which eventually failed. He then opened another store in 1879 in Lancaster, PA., which was successful and to this day, set standards for retail businesses all over the world. In the 1950s, Woolworth's had the longest lunch counter in the world (located in Los Angeles), which was 100 feet in length. This legendary store that started it all, may be long out of business, but not forgotten.
