The 1963 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe saw the introduction of the Sting Ray. it has a distinctive tapering rear deck, hidden headlamps, non-functional hood vents, independent rear suspension, and a split rear window(63 only). The also improved on the handling prowess, and because of a light body they acceleration was improved while keeping the horsepower unchanged. Options included power steering, air conditioning, leather seats, aluminium wheels, electronic ignition and breakerless magnetic pulse-triggered Delcotronic, Also 4 out 5 that left the plant had manual transmissions
