1964 Canadian Quarter Square Sticker

The Canadian quarter used to be 80% silver until 1967, when--like the US in 1964--it changed the formulation to save money. During a transitional year, from 1967--68, the percentage dropped to just 50% silver, and then from 1968 until 1999 they were mostly made of nickel. (Nowadays they're mostly steel, with nickel plating.) The face on this one has a portrait of a young Queen Elizabeth at the age of 29. They kept this portrait until 1965, when they re-did the portrait of her at the age of 39. (She looks like such a little girl, doesn't she? Don't worry, Aunt Mary, I am saying that with respect... God Save the Queen!)
