If it had sold better maybe instead of "Pony Cars" we would have had "Fish Cars" as the original Barracuda was actually introduced 16 days before Ford's Mustang. However as it worked out Ford sold ten Mustangs for each of Plymouth's Barracudas. Although the Barracuda never came close to the sales success of the Mustang it did stay in production for ten years.
