This 2023 calendar features photos of the endangered Southern Resident killer whales taken during the Orca Behaviour Institute's 2022 field season. Members of J-, K-, and L-Pods are identified each month in this stunning series of photos by Monika Wieland Shields. The Orca Behaviour Institute is a non-profit based on San Juan Island, WA with the mission of conducting non-invasive behavioural and acoustic research on killer whales of the Salish Sea and beyond.
