Campground host Vickie says, “Marshmallow, a cut above other animals, has a commanding presence and is protector of the weak at all times. Last Spring, when newborn lambs were afoot in the pasture, Daryl Ann picked one up and carried it to the fence for guests to hold. The Mum, Matey, was distraught and followed Daryl Ann. But then Matey stopped halfway and turned to run back to the herd. She ran directly to Marshmallow, spoke with him briefly, and Marshmallow ran full speed towards Daryl Ann and effectively demanded release of the baby. Matey was right behind him, but let Marshmallow save the day!! || "Marshmallow lived here at the farm for years. He is a big favourite with larger than life personality. He now lives in retirement with a family in Bellingham — Mum, Dad and two wonderful boys. They hand feed him a special mush every day so he gets nutrients without many teeth. They built him a special feeder, gave him his own pasture, and found Q-tip, a sweet little ewe, as his companion. He is treated like royalty. He is a gift to everyone he meets." || Vickie lives on our 440-acre Cedar Mountain Farm in North Idaho. Surrounded by mountains and hay fields and wild flora and fauna, the forested farm offers dramatic clouds, scenic vistas, a rustic pond and rippling creek, and outdoor family adventures. Vickie is at home with rabbits, chickens, horses, sheep and goats, and loves to introduce them to guests of all ages.
