ABOUT THIS PICTURE: Campground host and avid photographer Vickie says, “I spent the afternoon up at the pond looking for frogs with an experienced frog catcher. I received many tips on the sport: How to find frogs, the technique of thrusting one's hand into the unknown -- muddy pond scum for example -- to capture these dear creatures, how to rub their tummies, and a demonstration of how to dump water from one's boot while standing on one leg! All in all, this was the most valuable use of my time in recent memory. We were on the hunt for the Big Frog. We sloshed through deeper and deeper water as we looked for him. While ducking under thicket and trying not to be sucked into the mud, we came upon a beautiful patch of skunk cabbage -- vast in its array of yellow colour and equally strong with that memorable skunk cabbage ‘fragrance’!" || Vickie lives on our 440-acre Cedar Mountain Farm in North Idaho. Surrounded by mountains and hay fields and wild flora and fauna, the forested farm offers dramatic clouds, scenic vistas, a rustic pond and rippling creek, and outdoor family adventures. Vickie is at home with rabbits, chickens, horses, sheep and goats, and loves to introduce them to guests of all ages.
