A Bar at the Folies Bergere by Edouard Manet Tie
A Bar at the Folies-Bergere (1882) by Edouard Manet is a vintage impressionism fine art portrait painting. Bottles of champagne, a vase with a rose and a bowl of fruit complete this classic bar scene in the Folies Bergère nightclub in Paris, France. A female bartender is about to pour some drinks for a party. It was painted and exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1882 and was the last major work by Manet. Great image for a New Year's Eve party, or any special occasion or event!
About the artist:
Édouard Manet (1832-1883) was a French impressionist painter and one of the first 19th century artists to approach modern life subjects. Manet was a pivotal figure in the transition from Realism to Impressionism.
