This design features a painting by the Victorian artist John Frederick Herring Sr. (1795–1865). It shows two dogs sitting comfortably together with their heads together and their backs to the viewer. The hound is on the left and the bearded collie is on the right. The two dogs are seated on a red hunting coat. It is a scene of domestic harmony between two friendly dogs of different breeds. The original artwork was painted in 1855.
