The man in the painting reads God’s word (The Bible) and is spiritually watered, his feet in the water symbolise this too. This man becomes like the tree on the right, fruitful and firm in his life for the glory of the Lord. The scenery for this painting takes place at the Sea of Galilee in the land of Israel on a warm summer day.
