Maru ni ichi no kakuji is a family crest that incorporates the character 'one', which is considered auspicious. The character 'one' is associated with being the first or number one. Many samurai families used this character in their crests. The 'kakuji' style involves designing characters into square shapes with uniform thickness and spacing, creating a balanced and beautiful appearance.
