A Safe Harbour ART PRINT gothic angel icon lowbro
Another High Gothic style icon painting of an Angel cradling a sailing ship. Lots of mediaeval/gothic iconography - inspired by old altarpieces by the likes of Hans Memling, Van der Weyden, etc.. If you look in the distance there are some ships in the harbour, and I rather fancy that this angel is a protector for those away at sea. The original piece featured a gothic arch frame by my husband Matt - the print/poster version has been cropped down to a perfect rectangle featuring details covered by the frame in the original. Original acrylic painting by me, of course! I originally ordered this print in a larger size but was not pleased with the clarity of it. When I contacted Zazzle, they responded really quickly and were very helpful. The print was packaged well to ensure there was no damage during transit (Eco friendly, too!), and I am really pleased with it.
