Carol Irving is an artist known for her weavings of endangered wildflowers. Using research tools to guide her, she dedicated 2 years to designing and weaving this special series. In her weavings she was able to turn woven yarn into soil, forest litter, plants and leaves. This woven series of Endangered Wildflowers brings attention to their threatened and sometimes endangered status. This series is a reflection of her interests, travels and research in the botanical world of Michigan. Her works have won awards in juried art shows and have been collected throughout the US.
