【Abe rokumonzen】A coin crest / The kanji for 'abe' varies among crest books, such as 'Abe family coin' in 'Heian Monkan', 'Abe coin' in 'Mon Den' and 'Monsho Dai Shusei', 'Abe rokumonzen' in 'Nihon no Monsho' and 'Mon no Izumi', and 'Abe family rokumonzen' in 'Jomon no Kenkyu'. However, according to literature such as 'Nihon Monshogaku' by Yoriyoshi Numata, 'Daimyo-ke no Kamon' by Kenichi Takahashi, and 'Kamon no Jiten' by Hitoshi Takazawa, this six-coin crest was used by the Abe clan of Suruga, so 'Abe' is likely the correct spelling. 'Daimyo-ke no Kamon' also states that the Abe clan used this as an alternate crest.
