Abe Six Cash Coins Tile
The kanji for 'Abe' varies across crest books: 'Abe' in 'Heian Monkan', 'Abe' in 'Mon Den' and 'Monsho Dai Shusei', 'Anbe' in 'Nihon no Monsho' and 'Mon no Izumi', and 'Anbe' in 'Jomon no Kenkyu'. However, according to sources such as 'Nihon Monshogaku' by Yoriyoshi Numata, 'Daimyo-ke no Kamon' by Kenichi Takahashi, and 'Kamon no Jiten' by Hitoshi Takazawa, this six-cash coin crest was used by the Suruga Abe clan, so 'Abe' is likely the correct spelling. 'Daimyo-ke no Kamon' also states that the Abe clan used this as an alternate crest.
