Abstract - Summer Fruit Mix Poster

A commission piece my friend wanted for her family dining room. She said, " I saw a picture that was an abstract and was squares I liked. I would like a painting with squares but then add fruit to them." The challenge took about three years to complete. I used the Golden Ratio and Rule of Thirds in order to get an idea of a good layout. After lots of thought I decided to keep the fruits their same sizes viewed at which seemed better than not being able to tell what kind of fruits they were. One kind of fruit per square also seemed logical.
