Actress Maxine Elliott 1905 Case-Mate iPhone Case

This vintage playbill is a portrait of the actress Maxine Elliott. She was so beautiful critics argued her acting was secondary to her appearance. When she visited England (the year this poster was made) King Edward VII asked to receive her. She was a savvy businesswoman and in 1908 became the first woman in America to own and manage her own theatre. After WWI she was awarded the Order of the Crown by a grateful Belgium for the time and money she gave the nation during the war. From an original 20th century (1905) lithograph by Strobridge & Co.
