Adoration of the Shepherds Card

"Adoration of the Shepherds" was painted with oils on copper by Anton Rafael Mengs in 1779. He was a German artist who was born in Bohemia in the Czech Republic. His family later settled in Dresden, Germany. His painting style is considered to be neoclassical showing a return to order and simplicity. It is a combination of classical and Renaissance styles. This painting is of the birth of Christ showing the angels above as a classic Christian nativity scene. I have added the gold border to the image.
