Two killed in Army plane crash, Washington, D.C., 1938. Two U.S. Army Flyers --Lieutenant Colonel Leslie MacDill, General Staff Corps. Officer, and Private Joseph G. Gloxner, died when their plane crashed in the street in Anacostia, a short distance from Bolling Field. Colonel MacDill was piloting the plane. Photograph by Harris & Ewing.
