This is a wonderful image by famous cowboy artist Frederic Remington, called Aiding A Comrade. It depicts two mounted cowboys coming to the aid of a third cowboy caught up in the stirrup of his bucking bronco. This is a scene that played out many times in the old American West. Remington was a master at capturing the action of this historic time. This is one of his more famous paintings, and the image is now in the public domain for all to enjoy.
