About This Design
Air Mail Biplane Service Hockey Puck
Regular airmail or air mail service was inaugurated in the United States on May 15, 1918 with the first service route between Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, and New York City. International airmail began a year later and designed Par avion, which means by aeroplane. Balloons, dirigibles and biplanes were first to carry the letters and packages. More reliable service came with metal multiengine planes and eventually jet aircraft. This yellow biplane in a blue sky with clouds is a tribute to those early barnstorming days and the start of commercial aviation. Perfect gift for pilots and flying enthusiasts.

Had these created for both grandsons- BIG HIT- as, they both play hockey! Even the parents were impressed with the quality and creativity! A definite purchase for a unique gift to give! Colors were good- but, could have been a bit sharper- overall, still would purchase again
