Alaska Combat Fisherman Badge Fabric

Based on a common military award the Combat Fisherman Badge commemorates surviving combat fishing in Alaska. It features a Sockeye Salmon, in spawning red coloration, on a dark blue background, over a conifer branch wreath. Text reading "ALASKA" is located at the top of the image. Salmon fishing is extremely popular in Alaska, too popular. Thousands of anglers, almost shoulder to shoulder, line both banks of salmon streams, each trying to catch a big fish while trying to keep his line from tangling with those of everyone else. Tempers can flare. This is called combat fishing.
