A digital recreation of a silhouette map of Alaska formed by carefully scraping off the reddish outer surface on the reverse side of birch bark (Betula papyrifera) to reveal the lighter, yellowish layer beneath. This is a traditional craft among Native Americans/First Nations across the northern United States and Canada. You may add your own text, both on top and inside.
