Albert Moore Garden Woman collecting flowers Card

Greeting card inspired by an artwork by British painter Albert Moore (A garden, 1869). The picture shows a woman that is turned away from us. She's gracefully collecting flowers and placing them in a basket. During this time Moore, like many of his contemporaries, was influenced by Japanese art. He produced pictures which were almost entirely without subject, yet decorative and subtly coloured. Invariably they show women in classical robes, allowing him to concentrate on the colour, texture and movement of draped fabric.
