A last fond look at the Alcatraz Water Tower. At mid left is a caged guard post that overlooks a corner of the Recreation Yard. The water tower underwent a rehabilitation project of structural enhancements and painting in late 2011 early 2012. If you look closely you can see aged graffiti on the side of the tank. Painters supposedly will attempt to preserve the graffiti.
