Vintage poster - Art Nouveau Alfonse Mucha - La Trappistine Famous art nouveau artist Alphonse Mucha created this beautiful art nouveau woman called "La Trappisine in 1897. Originally created as an advertisement poster for a Paris distiller, this art nouveau poster has stood the test of time, and is still as gorgeous today as it was back in the late 1800s. Alphonse Mucha's posters were all about swirling lines, beautiful women, and natural elements, and the artist almost defined the Art Nouveau style in the late 1800s. La Trappestine is a graceful young woman, standing looking out at us, against a background of a halo and circles, a background that Mucha used often in other paintings and posters.

The clock did not take as long to arrive as I thought it might and was extremely well packaged. I didn't do the measurements so I didn't realize it is a little smaller than the average clock but that does not matter (just make sure you check if that's important to you).It is really nifty! It seems very solid and well made not flimsy at all. It has been going well and has kept good time in its few weeks on my wall. Nice product. Gets noticed too! Nicer in real life than the picture but true to the picture
