Alice M. McPherrin by Russell L. Swigert 1917 art Metal Lunch Box
Art Nouveau Lady 1917 art ... drawn by my mum's dad of my mum's mum in 1917 the year they married.
My grandpa Russell L Swigert's ink drawing of my grandma Alice McPherrin signed and dated April 1, 1917.
They married later in 1917.
Their farm was at the intersection of four Knox County townships:
Galesburg, Cedar, Orange, Knox (counter clockwise on the map).
The farm itself was in Cedar Township.
They had field corn, hogs, chickens all which I remember.
I do not remember when they had cows, but mum does.
I do not remember when they had horses and neither does mum,
but, they dated in a horse and buggy era.
I remember the large white farmhouse my grandpa's father had built.
I have a picture of the previous 'homestead' house
from the 1800s. I remember grandma holding me on her lap as
she was listening to her neighbours gossiping on the party line.
My grandparents met at the Knox County Fair where my
grandpa began flirting with grandma as she was riding
the merry-go-round. They were born in 1895 and 1896.
Computer colourized 2024 by Mark Edward Westerfield.
I went took classes to learn fine art and computer art in 2004 and 2005
and began my online Zazzle store in 2016, which now is 8 years ago.
Our family was always fascinated by my grandpa's 1917 ink drawing and
we were told grandma used to have beautiful red hair so I wanted to see
how this would look so I colourized grandpa's 1917 drawing and mum liked
the result. Mum was not born until 1932 when her parents were about ages
about 36 - 37 but her only older sibling died at his age 16 so mum is their oldest
surviving child ... mum is age 91 now. My grandparents were born in 1895 - 1896
and married in 1917 same year grandpa drew this.

I'd been experimenting with transferring designs to other products when my wife noticed this old time metal lunchbox. I knew she wanted it thus I created a special one just for here with a couple of her favorite photos I'd taken. Excellent. The cloud image on the front is her favorite of the two. It was taken right off our back patio. The other image was in West Texas several years ago, wide open spaces and roads.

This is a standard metal lunchbox that appears to work just fine. We designed this box ourselves with an uploaded photo and custom text on the front and back. It looks absolutely beautiful except the front of the lunchbox is not centered like it shows in the photo. The print borders don't align with the inset flat part of the box where the preview photo online showed it perfectly centered in there. The back looks nice and centered though.

This lunch box is great! Being able to put any picture on the lunch box is a great option. I am a huge fan of Disney as well as Alice in Wonderland and this satisfies both of my collections. It is a very well made lunch box for anyone.
I am using my lunch box to hold some of my collectable Disney pins. I love it!
