In Native American culture, the belief is that the dreamcatcher will catch bad dreams in the web, while good dreams and thoughts filter through the hole, gem or bead in the centre. When the first rays of the morning light touch the dreamcatcher , those trapped bad dreams are destroyed. Dreamcatchers are traditionally hung over the bed or by a window or door where those positive thoughts, as well as negative energies, flow.
