Almond Blossoms from is a group of several paintings made in 1888 and 1890 by Vincent van Gogh in Arles and Saint-Rémy, southern France of blossoming almond trees. Flowering trees were special to Van Gogh. They represented awakening and hope. He enjoyed them aesthetically and found joy in painting flowering trees. The works reflect Impressionist, Divisionist and Japanese woodcut influences. Almond Blossoms was made to celebrate the birth of his nephew and namesake, son of his brother Theo and sister-in-law Jo. Absolutely love my invites, I used the watercolour palm design, using HD print on Champagne shimmer pearl paper! I’m so happy with them. The colours & design are perfect, I didn’t change the design at all just the wording.
Unfortunately during postage, some of my invites are now slightly crushed on the corner. Disappointing since they are for a wedding & they are less than perfect. They could be wrapped better to protect them. Very happy with the quality of the printing and the paper used
