Alpha Wolves Fall Postcards

The Alpha Female and Male mate for life. The female chooses where she makes her den which means she also chooses the packs territory. She is responsible for the very survival of the pack. Alaska and Takoda are our Alpha pair and on May 29, 2010 they had six pups, one male and five females. On March 3, 2012, we brought a new pup home and named him after the legacy our black wolf Shadow. All proceeds from purchases help care for the pack and our ongoing wolf education and outreach programs. This photo was taken by Amanda LeClerc.
