This is a perfect example that certain designs are only good for light or dark shirts, and not both. The original shirt was a gift and was ordered on a dark shirt... I thought the tone-on-tone would look cool. Quite the contrary. It looked horrible. I reordered this with a light shirt (in American Apparel this time) and the contemporary flag design looked wonderful on the cotton shirt. Zazzle did a nice job. Clearly visible this time. The shirt in this American Apparel style runs a touch too small though, FYI. But the cotton is super soft. Good lesson learned for the rest of my patriotic and historical shirts. First printing wasn't visible but that was my fault. Second printing on the lighter shirt looked great. Definitely a great shirt for the Fourth of July!
