Labour Day is a federal day in the United States observed on the first Monday in September to honour and recognise the American labour movement and the work and contributions of workers to the development and accomplishments of the United States. The three-day weekend in which the weekend falls is called Labour Day. Beginning in the late nineteenth century, with the growth of trade unions and labour movements, trade and sharing with workers we wear T-shirts symbolising Labour Day.
