Anticipation Italian Painter Eugen von Blaas (1843 - 1931)of the Academic Classicism Period. Though he often painted Venetian scenes; he also painted many portraits and religious works of art. A beautiful Italian young lady with a red flower in her hair, wearing a long two piece white and gold tone dress with a corset type fitting and a red apron hanging from her waist, waits by a balcony on the docks with a potted plant by her feet waits in anticipation for the boats to come into shore.
