This round porcelain ornament features (on both sides) an image of the observation tower overlooking Antietam Battlefield in Sharpsburg, Maryland. This was the site of the bloodiest battle in America's Civil War. Farmland that sits at the base of South Mountain became ground zero for this fight for freedom of those enslaved.
